In Apalvågen on Sotra, west of Bergen, Sekkingstad has been engaged in fish processing and seafood trade for generations. A good harbor and short distance to the fishing grounds along the coast have given the location a natural position for such activities. It is also a short distance to Bergen for forwarding to customers at home and abroad.

Vågen Seafood AS was established in the spring of 1996. The company has experienced steady growth since its start and now has an annual turnover of 180 million NOK with 18 employees. The main product is fresh and frozen salmon and trout fillet produced for customers at home and abroad.

Sekkingstad Preserving AS
Sekkingstad Preserving AS was started in 1961. Initially, the company operated a canning factory, but already in 1964 started with salmon farming. Today, the company focuses exclusively on cultivating scallops.

Konrad Sekkingstad AS
In 1923, Konrad Sekkingstad started his company purchasing lobster directly from fishermen. The business later expanded to also include salmon and other fish species. Konrad Sekkingstad AS owns and operates one of the few lobster parks still operating in Norway. The company can offer live lobster year-round.

Matgard Seafood AS
Matgard Seafood is located in Apalvågen outside Bergen, and sells fresh and frozen salmon products such as fillet, belly list, backbones, smoking cuts of trout and salmon at home and abroad. The products come from our own factory H-65 Vågen Seafood and factories all over Norway.
