ATLANTIC SALMON

The finest of the salmon species

The male salmon can probably grow up to 1.5 meters long and weigh more than 40 kg, while the female salmon is somewhat smaller. It has a small, pointed head and the body is thickest around the dorsal fin. The Atlantic salmon differs from the Pacific salmon in that it has fewer than 13 rays in the anal fin, and the tail fin is slightly rounded in shape. Salmon farming is one of Norway's largest and most important export industries, and Norway is a world-leading producer and exporter of fresh and frozen salmon. The conditions for salmon farming are excellent in Norway thanks to optimal temperatures in the sea – not too high as further south, and not too low which gives little growth. There are fish farms all along the Norwegian coast.

From our filleting machine, the fillets come up on the trimming table where our employees ensure a fast but accurate trimming process. The combination of high technical level and skilled employees enables us to offer all variants of standard and customized trimmings, packaging, etc.
