We process rainbow trout into fresh and frozen fillet products at our facilities on Sotra. Rainbow trout has very rapid growth and good temperature tolerance, which makes it an important farmed fish with stable availability.

The fillet stays nice in slices, and the moderate fat content makes it easy to succeed with – from everyday dinner to raw marinated starter. ORIGIN

From the Pacific to Norway

Rainbow trout was originally widespread along the Pacific coast of North America, from Alaska in the north to the border areas between California and Mexico in the south. However, the species has long since been introduced to almost all continents and a number of new countries, including Norway.
